Guild Charter & Information

Guild Vision
<The Die Is Cast> is a fun and friendly raiding guild. We are dedicated to casual, but progressive, raiding. The current focus of this Guild is for 25 man content; 10 man content is a tool to gear people and train in order to meet that end. It is not a goal in and of itself. All raiders must specify one toon that they wish to raid with in order to maximize the use of loot that is dropped for progressive raiding. As such, all toons except for the main are ranked as "Civilians". We do not normally bring Civilians with us on raids.

We expect ALL raiders to learn their class and spec, monitor their own performance and do their best to be fully equiped for all raids. Make sure that you show up to raids with proper gear, gems, enchants, food and have read/watched ALL the strategies for bosses we expect to face that night.

While we encourage guild members to help each other in all aspects of the game (leveling, 5 mans, quests, PvP, etc...), we are not here to help you do these things per say. We are here to focus on raiding and we expect our raiders to act accordingly.

Code of Conduct
In order to accomplish our Guild Vision, we expect everyone to respect each other and help create a fun guild atmosphere. This includes guild chat, Ventrilo and chat outside of the guild (Trade Channel, etc). The behaviour of our guild members reflects upon the guild as a whole. Remember this when in pickup groups and general WoW chat. If a guild member is conducting themselves in a manner that is not inline with the Guild's Best Interests, they may be put on probation or removed entirely.

Some general do’s and don’ts:
  • Do ask for help when needed, and help others
  • Do chat socially in the guild chat, have fun!
  • Do be thoughtful of others; no one really wants to hear what you did with your significant other behind a bush, the night before
  • Do NOT be vulgar (people swear, it’s a habit, but it shouldn’t be in every sentence. don’t be childish)
  • Do NOT spam for help when there is no reply. Thotbott/WoWHead/Etc is your friend.
  • Do NOT beg in either guild chat or in general chat.
  • Mutilating the english language on purpose (1337 speak) is not cool, it just makes you look ignorant and immature, so don't do it.

Guild Membership and Raiding
It is expected that raiders will usually make both mandatory raid nights, there are some special cases for raiders making only 1. If a player is unable to make the minimum for a consecutive number of weeks, the matter will be discussed with officers. In the case that a raider is unable to make any raids for an extended period of time, they may be asked to leave the guild until they are able to do so. This is to ensure that we remain focused as a guild.

See the Raid Policy thread for further Raid Information.

It is expected that all guild members will signup for each Thursday and Sunday raid on the in-game Calender raid indicating their availability.

Only active raiding players are accepted into the guild (their mains and alts). Non-raiding members (ie family, friends of friends) will not be invited.
